No two businesses create exactly the same amount of bookkeeping work. One business may have a single bank account and a handful of transactions each month. Another may have several accounts, payroll, invoices, sales tax filings, and hundreds of transactions to keep organized.

That is why Bridge the Gap Remote Bookkeeping does not force every client into the same package.

Monthly Bookkeeping

Monthly bookkeeping keeps your financial records current and accurate throughout the year, so you have reliable information about what's happening in your business.

Monthly bookkeeping generally includes:

  • Recording and categorizing income and expenses
  • Reconciling bank and credit card accounts
  • Recording loan payments correctly, including separating principal and interest and maintaining accurate loan balances
  • Reviewing transactions for duplicates, missing information, or items that need clarification
  • Preparing monthly financial reports
  • Watching for unusual changes or activity that may deserve your attention

I won’t simply send you reports and expect you to understand them without explanation. If something stands out in your business finances, I’ll bring it to your attention and explain what I’m seeing.

Monthly Pricing

Professional bookkeeping doesn't have to be out of reach for a small or growing business. Your monthly fee is based on the amount and complexity of bookkeeping your business actually requires.

Transaction volume, the number of bank and credit card accounts, loans, and any additional services you need are all considered when determining your monthly fee. This allows a smaller business with simpler books to start with a lower fee, while your bookkeeping services can grow along with your business.

After we discuss your bookkeeping needs, you'll receive a clear monthly quote before we begin. Additional services are priced separately based on the work involved.

Catch-Up & Cleanup Bookkeeping

When you're busy running a business, it's easy for bookkeeping to fall behind, or for problems to go unnoticed until they start getting in the way.

Catch-up bookkeeping brings overdue books up to date.

Cleanup bookkeeping identifies and corrects problems in existing books.

Before providing a final price, I'll review your books to determine how much work is needed. Depending on what I find, I may also need bank or credit card statements, loan information, receipts, or clarification about certain transactions.

Catch-up and cleanup are available as one-time services. If you choose a 12-month monthly bookkeeping agreement, the catch-up or cleanup fee is reduced.

QuickBooks Online Setup

If you're new to QuickBooks Online, getting it set up correctly from the beginning can save a lot of confusion later. I'll set up your account around the way your business actually operates, so it's ready for the bookkeeping services you need.

Setup may include connecting your bank and credit card accounts, creating the accounts your business needs, adding customers and vendors, customizing invoices and forms, entering beginning balances, and configuring QuickBooks for our ongoing bookkeeping work.

Depending on your QuickBooks subscription and eligibility, I may also be able to help you access discounted QuickBooks Online pricing.

QuickBooks Online setup is priced separately based on the needs and complexity of your business.

Payroll

Payroll can be added to your monthly bookkeeping services if you want help keeping employee pay, payroll taxes, and payroll records accurate and on track.

Every business handles payroll a little differently. We can talk about how your payroll currently works, what you’d like help with, and what makes sense for your business.
